It's here,
among the fields,
and rolling hills;
with winding country lanes,
and ancient rituals
I spend my days.
Blencathra rising
in the distance,
moods dictated by the sun,
and an eternity of sky.
The Carlisle city lights
entice on quiet nights,
but not for me;
I love to see the milky way
when the moon is bright
and the air is still.
It's here I live, a country life;
in the village of Cotehill.

Sounds idyllic Kath. I would love to travel to the north, probably have some relatives in the South Shields area, where my Mum was born. Beautiful poem.

That picture brings back a lot of distant, happy memories. Never been to Cotehill, but I can see I really missed something special. Thank you for the visit.
