When you died your soul was filled with light,
It was so beautiful for the light was so bright,
I tried to run towards you with all my might,
But then You disappeared out of sight.
I cried as I wondered if you would come back to me,
And in my dreams you hugged me & said "It was meant to be",
"But why? Why was I left here?"
As you left you wiped away my tear...
"When the time comes We'll be together again",
"But now I'm in Heaven & my life has just began."
"So Please remember me,"
"Before I ran my truck into that tree..."
"But Vicki, I want to be with you the pain hurts me so",
"But Please until the day comes just let me go",
"I know you loved me for I loved you too",
"But I know You will remember me on the days you are blue."
Please don't cry for I'm in a better place,
For everyday I stroke your face,
Remember me for I'm ok,
You need to live this life awhile longer because You need to stay...
Remember me for I am never far away.

touching poem
This is truly beautiful Sara!! You really do need to listen to the things Vicki said. You are meant to be here for a reason. Your angels will always be watching over you , you may not be able to SEE them, but I will bet that you FEEL them all the time. Just listen to your heart, for they are speaking to you through it. That was an extremely emotional peice. I'm not really sure how to comment on it though. I've never been good at leaving comments, especially on things so personal as this. I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is a terrible experience. But, just as you yourself have written, she is never very far away. I believe that lost loved ones watch you, and take care of you, wherever you are. Keep writing, you have an amazing talent.

EXCELLENT
This is my favorite poem. I hope that happiness rains down upon this poet who has endured more sadness than any one soul should endure. My heart aches but know I must allow her to return on her own time schedule. For only a rose knows when it will bloom again. -
Once again good poem. I just want to ask you. Was this someone close to you. Because if it was I'm very sorry. I know just how you feel. Live takes you by surprise. It's just the battles that you have to survive. Once again this poem is sad but like I said you are very good. I hope that your life is filled with joy, and many happy memories to share. Keep up the good work.

Friends live on, because memories never die. i have lost many of my friends to and to the life of pain and a heart that will never heal i wear my crown of thorns for them. sometimes i get so disenchanted with life. but there is a heaven out there i know it. and they have visted me on occasion mostly in dreams but i have seen my friend before when he came to visit me. kind of haunted my room for a night and just told me that my life will be going someplace and do not give up i was scared but comforted. an he will always watch over me. this poem just describes everything the way it feels when u lose a friend so dear to u. and though the words feel good to get off ur back the pain will always be there. thank u for ur support in ur comment on my poem. and i just want u to know i am here for u when u need me it is always good to be with those who understand and know the lose and pain. good luck with the recovery.

This is a truly beautiful poem. I am so sorry for your loss. I have not felt the loss of death but I do know what it is like to lose a friend. Especially to death, knowing you will never see them again. I hope that one day you are able to, not forget but, move on so it doesn't hurt as much.
This poem is very well written and shows so much emotion. You did a very wonderful job and I'm sure your friend would be/is very honored. Everyone would be so lucky to have a friend like you.

Darling, this is a very heart felt poem. I am truly sorrowful for your loss. Overcoming grief takes a lot of hard work, and it takes time. You have made a splendid beginning by writing this poem. I hope you write more. I have some poems about death and grief that are on my site, "Steve", "Her", and "Linda". Read them...maybe something will flip a switch that will set your healing in motion. That is my prayer for you. A beautiful, delicate, truly lovely poem. I will pray for you, my dear.

Beautiful. Moving.
I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I can't imagine how impossibly hard that must have been for you...
Your poem is beautiful. Haunting. Earnest. Insightful.
And, although i know it's not really my place to say, because i don't know you or your friend, ... I bet she's really proud and touched. And i bet you're right. I bet she looks at you with love and gratitude each moment, and prays you find the strength to make it through. Please forgive me if i'm out of line. If i am I am so sorry, and i will edit this (if you im me) and get rid of it.
You're a really talented poet. -
