She opened the gate and let her emotions flow.
Engulfed by memories of a past,
that she doesn't want to know.
She cries alone,
but understands why.
This is alright,
it's okay to cry.
She will no longer look back on her past,
and question why.
But instead be thankful that she's alive!
She is stronger,
wiser,
and knows right from wrong.
She can't wait for the day when she can
sing a happy song.
A song about all that is right
with her life.
And how blessed she is, to have
had people help her with the fight.
It was a fight for life.
Her very own.
She left that place,
and is happy now.
Fore shes has a home.

I too can relate to these words a very powerful write. It not easy to leave. The abuser makes your life and other very hard. When it over a beauty of a new life comes. There a queit in you home. There a peace that comes to one heart. The message of the write is the power of change doe not come easy. It well worth it in the end.
