It was a wonderful day when I found out the news...
my hands fell down upon my flat belly,
The shock and the wonder all at one time
of knowing inside it would carry a baby.
I remember when I heard your heart beat
for the very first time,
Knowing every second was closer
to you being mine.
The first ultra sound comes...
even greater news to endure,
A month older you had been
a month closer to me, you were.
Every beat of your heart,
Every second that passes;
Seeing your foot thru my stomach...
just waiting for your grand entrance.
Then one day your arrival approached...
this day I have waited so long,
This little girl, a beautiful joy...
My fate, to be your mother, all along.
One month old, the doctor comes in….
Learning to love this new journey of life,
Observing this little baby girl
who will someday be someone’s wife.
Your first bright shining smile,
our first little fight...
As I had to let you cry,
it broke my heart that night.
So fast you do grow
as I watch in disbelief,
My baby’s growing up so fast~
this treasure given to me.
Every picture, every milestone,
every day of our life~
I’ll remember everything…
and on one memorable night...
We’ll be sitting together
reminiscing all things in the world,
And I'll tell you "nothing"
compares to the birth
of My Little Girl!
