(For Tender Wolf)
Accepting me into your family (nia’ish)
as your Cheyenne sister
You have bestowed upon me
a gift that I accept with great honor
I have walked my journey as a
white woman, but with the spirit
of a native
I have been blessed with the guidance of
those that have spoken my name,
calling me into their circle
I give my love to those that are empty,
council to those that hurt,
food to those that hunger
For that is my calling
My sister, you have named me
White Wolf - (vo’-omo orvo-go-mo ho‘-hehe)
We know that when the spirit of the soul
is connected, there is no distance
I thank you for this honor and I will
forever cherish our bond
Author notes
Thank you again, my sister.. I am truly honored.
