Interesting indeed. I like this. Good luck to you in the contest. Though I've never seen bats except on TV, in the movies and in books, I'm sure they're not demons. Good job.

Very interesting Haiku. In traditional Haiku- the purpose is usually to freeze a moment in existence in as few words as possible. Rather than do that, you've tried to capture the essence of an animal. And I think you do that quite well. The last line is especially evocative- the word "feeds" comes across very strongly. Well done!
