Not sure what brought you to my mind today
I guess shopping and seeing a dress similar
to the one that I wore when we met.
Feeling tired and somewhat lost
I thought a drink would calm my senses
While sitting here so many memories
surfaced from deep within
I wonder where you are and how you are
Who would have thought we would not be together
We had planned a lifetime of love.
Where are you Nick?
I waited that day we were going to meet again.
You never showed.
I knew you were there in spirit, I felt you.....
Like I have so many times.
I could always feel you come into the room while I was sleeping,
or when you would sneak up behind me to plant a kiss on my neck.
You loved my cologne.
I still wear the same one.
Brings back memories of wonderful nights of passion with you.
So many times I thought about moving, but I was afraid that one day you would come back and I wouldn’t be here..
I should have left here years ago.
I kept my phone number the same, in case you would call.
Its been so long and not sure why tonight you are so heavy in my heart. Are you thinking of me too?

Intriguingly Different,and Very Passionate
This write is very suspenseful,memories,long remembered have come back again and never moving from your place of residence or your phone number..Then your dress recalls to your memory more vividly all associated with this past affair...A totally different collaboration than I have ever seen,,the circumstances are intriguing, and the scene and mood beautifully attractive for a change, from the "run of the mill" secret rendezvous...Each has their empassioned reasons for being beautiful on their own...yet work together very well..Skillfully done, both of you...

memories that come into our hearts, uninvited and will not leave until satisfaction is received. Real, times past, needed today to fulfill joy of heart and ease the loneliness of being apart. Wonderful, sweet and loving.

The path not taken...often it's the one we regret the most. Sometimes we choose not to take it, other times it's someone else who makes the choice for us. However it plays out, wondering how the one you really love/loved is doing, because you don't really talk anymore, just sucks

I can so relate, but I did move, boy did I move, so I guess that shows I really didn't want to be caught up with. But the thoughts do linger and I still think of him. So I can so, understand your feelings in this poem. Great collaboration.
