an inanimate object

motionless
attached to
a living being
attached to
me
no strength
no will
no power
in the bloodless appendages
useless as a mannequin
only
not so stiff
so perfect
my hand
i know that
it is
my hand
but i do not see
cannot comprehend
this truth

i had my hand hanging out the window in my car... and this came to me. it was like an out of body experience, i felt like my hand was dead and not able to move, it looked unreal
