The Cleansing Moonlight (Sonnet in Iambic Pentameter)

Black and gray doth stain the sunset's hue,
A tone so like thy dismal, angry mood.
I would with love such humor to, yet, imbue,
Rather than thy colors mix and brood.
Sunset bears His cloak of angry tones,
A mantle filled with burning, fiery stars.
Thine eyes, alike, are fiery, piercing stones,
A flame so like the red of warring Mars.
The gleam of moonlight flows in Sunset's path,
Gray and silver; soft and radiant-hued.
It washes thee: a gentle, gleaming bath,
It bringeth thee a sweet, romantic mood.
From gray and black to silver-gray: the light,
Moonlight brings thy humor Love tonight.

    Interesting poetic contrast.

You choose to use here the sun, stars, sunset and moon to symbolize the changing mood of a lover. It seems that she was pissed off, but as the evening comes she forgets it for romance. That's fortunate! This is kind of a fun sonnet.
