Sonnet I

A raging fire licks the evening sky-
A mirror to the pounding of my heart.
For though I haven't seen you all the nigh',
I feel as though we never are apart.

My longing for you outburns every flame
And won't be snuffed by winter's icy breath
Without you I would never be the same
And with you I will stay until my death.

The flames grow higher, rising deep inside
The drum beat of my heart grows loud and bold
When I'm with you there is nothing to hide
E'en deepest winter will not leave me cold.

My love will never go away from you
The fire grows with everything you do.

I read that you don't like editing much so I'm not sure if I should tell you, but in sonnets "nigh" meant near. and I'll add that, for stream of consciousness writing, this is extremely organized. good job and keep writing
    cheers
