Sometimes when the sun is shining
and the clouds are out in just enough
numbers that they can get together
and paint
and the green of the grass is the greenest you've seen
since that picnic 14 years ago
when you were listening to Guns and Roses
in the park
and the breeze on your face
makes you think of the time you were riding
on the back of your dad's bike home from school
holding tight
and the cat is lying in the shade in the same way
he has done for nearly 15 years
every time the sun decides to put in
an appearance.
Sometimes.
Sometimes a smile is the easiest thing
in the
world.
