Respect Means Nothing

If you're gonna get down to it,
Really, like look at that ugly thing at the bottom,
In the eyes- that's the way a man would do it,
What makes the person next to you
Different from you?

You can't trust them,
How can you trust you?
The person next to you
Doesn't trust you.
And rightfuly so.

Look to your fellow man
And man,
We are Screwed Up!
Why would we conjure trust in each other?
On notes similar,
Respect is a little different.
Of course,
In this scheme that's very grand,
Grander than Buckingham, we have know idea of the plans,
We're no super spies, and if you are, I won't tell,
I'm koool like that, hommie, I got ur back,
Nothing comes out of it.
We should still strive somewhere around it.

'Cause what good would it do
If we were untrusting jerks?

um...well, I'm not sure where this piece came from, but I like it and embrace it heartedly-whole.
It's more of a hodgepodge of philosphy I've made up over the years, short years mind you, I'm only 18 now.

I'm not saying that we should not trust people or not respect people more fully. I personal try to respect all people I met equally and with the same respect I would like.

on how the respect itself means nothing, it is only the catalyst for our actions. It is what the respect brings, the work it can do, that means eternity, really.
