Luna's Lovers
First moonbeams ripple t'ward the hidden shore
As tides push past the press of parted thighs
Till on the beach the surging surf doth roar
And pound upon the lovers where they lie
No one but Luna shall be let to see
The naked dance before her on the sand
For secrets must stay secret, never free
And so in secret passions flames are fanned
But on the morrow 'round the village square
Should they meet in telling light of day
A fleeting glance is all the lovers dare
No marriage works when hearts are let to play
Each is wed but not one to the other
So the night is left for Luna's lovers
Please tell me what you think
