What compells a person to love twice??
The first time you ever kiss
Is so unforgettable, a moment of bliss.
But two first kisses make a repetative firework display.
I don't believe in love at first sight
Nor do I think you can love twice
And have the same exuberant delight.


You puzzle me when you say nothing has changed
And you hate me for pointing out it has.
You don't hold grudges
Though you seem to thrive on throttling
All the laughs out of the past
Creating pressure in the bottling process.
You can't push me away.
Maybe friendship doesn't happen twice.


How do you run back to someone you said you hate??
He turned his back on you
For some new girl, from Prep, blonde locks
And you still can crawl back into his arms, too.
I don't believe this turns back the clocks.


Once a cheater always a cheater.
Once full of spite always spiteful.
Once despised there's no hope.
Friendships and love are so unfaithful.


To go through the motions twice
would be torture...
