Lost in Thought

My heart was left bleeding
Never thought to work again
Covered in what life it had
All broken up and dead

I am the dark tunnel
Are you the light at the end?
So far in the distance
Far beyond my outstretched hand?

Will I ever reach you
Before I've given up completely?
Should I leave all things behind
And follow you, right by your side?

While there is no guarantee
That your heart will be forever mine,
Do I have the will to risk myself?
Do I have the strength to try?

I've lost so much
And I want to trust.
Will you shatter my heart again?
Or will your love stay
Forever and a day
And give me my happy end?
