It's Time For Me To Go

wake up to a sunny day
no clouds up in the sky
the world seems to be happy
but i just want to die

the clouds fill my head
crashing together, causing thunder
my world begins to flood
and i'm going under

thoughts flash like lightning
creating chaos in my head
i can't think straight
i think i'll go to bed

this isn't helping
singing birds keep me awake
i close my eyes against the sun
as my body begins to quake

i don't know what's wrong
i'm just in a lot of pain
i don't know why this is happening
oh no, here comes the rain

he holds my hand tightly
telling me to hold on
i whisper softly "i love you"
my last words before i'm gone

his tears fall down
as i breath my last breath
his face flashes through my mind
as i am greeted by death

i open my eyes once more
and i see myself lying there
he's still there too
in my eyes, tears flare

i reach up to wipe them away
i can see right through my hand
i'm looking right at him
that handsome, loving man

i touch him lightly on the shoulder
he reaches up suddenly and touches me
a warm feeling flows through my arm
he turns around but he can't see

i hear someone in the distance calling me
a deep voice i do not know
i lean down, kiss him softly
it's time for me to go
