The best state for a poet to be in
Is not in love or hate
But somewhere in between.
For it is simple to exaggerate.
If in just one emotion all the way,
We'll find no words to write.
For deepest feelings can not be explained
And we will lose poetic sight.
But if we border always on them all,
The ink will always flow.
We'll always have a prompt
And all our papers will have words to show.
But only do this if you wish to die
For deepest love and strife
And all emotions at their deepest depths
Are what create the best in life.
And poetry, although my dearest friend,
Can not compare to lovers bliss.
I'd rather feel these things
Then always write. I can not alter this.

a interesting poem about how to write poems and it goes rather well with the option you chose, I didnt expect anything like this which is great and one of the reasons why i like it and it is kinda true what you are saying but i find i personally write better poems if im in a certain emotion like sad or love, anyway well done for a great write and good luck
