The Wall

They called it a curtain,
An iron one,
But it was made from concrete
Like the ghettos they had just torn down.

While an American King
Strived for the dreams of his children,
This icy war began
With out a single shot fired.

Thus, evil disguised as commonwealth,
The wolf in sheepskin,
Slipped into the shattered fatherland,
And tore off a chunk of his flesh.

I think you have some really strong word choices here, and some images that really work for this piece. You did an excellent job recounting a moment in history that altered the world's perspective, and changed the lives of German citizens. Thanks for entering and good luck. >pixxie<
