Falling into the depths,
I feel the ageless pull that defines us;
the sublime emotion that rules our lives:
I discover passion.
My soul descends the deep
and ascends the heights,
searching for the completion
that transcends all else.
There is nothing passive,
for passivity is antithesis to such feelings.
there is only the comprehension that
nothing else exists for this moment in time.
Discounting the phantasmagorical aspects,
great disservice is done,
as the hallucinatory inferno
is the end result in hormones run amok.
As with all things done in love,
there is a feeling that sums up all:
lust is animalistic,
while love is splendour.

That is really beautiful, and thoughtful, and true. The last two lines in particular say all one needs to know.
