I wrote to you
with feathered feelings
and softly lit sighs.
Spending these quiet moments
with quill and spilt ink;
memory stains
precisely placed on parchment,
from the sanctuary of my soul.
Each letter of love,
conceived in creativity,
poised in passion
and born to poetry.
I wrote to you
with flames of forever
and hushes of Heaven.
Each poignant page
embracing
engraved emotions
and drafted daydreams,
drawn from the depths
of my being;
laced and bound
into this book
of borrowed wisdom
and rosebud whispers.
I wrote to you
with wishes and promises,
and a poet’s prayers.

I love this piece with its alliterations and thoughts, for poetry and love go hand in hand and love and the poet hae a natural affinity with one another. I wish you well in this contest, this is lovely.
