Yes its me you're not imagining this all.
I know that it seems like ive been gone.
But the truth is, i've never been far away.
For I live in your heart everyday.
I will never forget the times we had.
Like our Trip cross country on the bike.
That was the most fun-filled adventure I ever had.
It was with you dad, you raised me right and were always there.
I guess what I really wanted to say is,
"I love you dad."

I really like this poem. It wasn't what I expected. From the first line, I was expecting this to me a poem about how the dad was never there, but it was not at all like that. But this poem really sheds some truth. As much as some of us hate our parents, deep down we love them.

What do I say to such woderful friends I have here at AP. I will keep these poems and read each one to him at his site on his memorial date, also I will be adding them to his page here. These precious words you all have written here have touched me more than you will ever know and the tears the words have brought. But tears I wouldnt trade for the world to and from you beautiful people here. I thank you from the very bottom of my heart for taking this time from your valueable days and family. God bless...Love GETS

Please forgive my standarized comment here, but I am too emotional to see or think straight to leave a proper comment but felt a comment was certainly called for. I want to thank you for taking the time to honor Gary and his son Adam. Your words and sentiment are truly felt, trust me. My tears don't lie.
PS
You owe me one dollar for a box of tissues I used reading this. -
a nice tribute to fathers that are often overlooked in their role in our lives, the all but hidden force. Best of luck in this and all of your endeavors. Hetohke'e *

Needs a minor touchup...
First off, the red font against dark blue is breaking my eyes...lighten the font up or the background.
As for the write itself, you have a few grammar mistakes. If corrected, then it would not look 'choppy'.
Corrected:

this is pretty personal....you know, one of those things not many can say "i know how it feels" or "i miss that".
its an amazing thing...the love of a father....
sadly, i neglect that love.
but great write <3
