Hours and days tick by
as I wait for you to belie
this thirst for something,
unknown and baffling,
as wisps of imagery bind,
forever etched in my mind.
Time prods us to move,
swirl into life’s groove,
leaving behind one’s soul,
never again to be whole,
mere essences of debris,
as we struggle to be free.
Conscience nulled by pain,
as grief damns the insane,
nailed by a force so strong,
where everything goes wrong,
a helpless witness so blind,
only sees what fate divines.
Author notes
was sitting here waiting for someone who didnt show up, inspired by the obvious...

Ah, Poet!
I wish you many waiting hours
to write your soul
in prose
I wish you fields of swaying flowers
to think about
poem's rose

Excellent imagery makes for an excellent write.
You made great word choices. I loved the lines "wisps of imagery", "swirl into life’s groove" "essences of debris" to name a few.
It had an excellent flow and was unique, which is always a good thing.
Thanks for your comment on my poem. Keep it up!

What we don't think of while waiting and waiting and waiting. Not sure about who Godot is either, but liked the poem, the flow and the thoughts expressed in these lines.

The figurative languagaes used in this piece is awesome. I like the flow and the imagery.
Well done kabayan!

waiting sucks!.. who the heck is godot?
Time prods us to move,

leaving behind one’s soul,
never again to be whole,
mere essences of debris,
as we struggle to be free
--i like that part.. sad but true for some of us...cant be whole again if you left your soul behind ,huh?
(psst, you sound like someone having a pms..) lol.. kidding!

samuel beckett's existentialist play about 2 tramps waiting for a M. Godot...was reminded as i did some thinking - yea, sometimes i think! - about the absurdity of life...
