I've been single for a little over 98% of my life. You could blame it on my personality. My religion. My hairy back. My shyness. My manboobs. The fact that I picked my boogers till I was 7. Or blame fate. Or just bluntly blame me! (I blame no body)
Now I'm not askin' for booty nor do I wanna just get laid. I've been a little over 20 years with out sex so I think I can go without it for the next few years. I hope I don't have to but........
Just a girl next door type of girl. Not just any lady but a friend. I rushed into a courtship with my only two girlfriends and that, I think, is where I went wrong. Of course both ended up differently but I wanna stop and just be friends, with a slobery kiss every now and again.
LOVE IS STRONG YET DELICATE. IT CAN BE BROKEN. TO TRULY LOVE IS TO UNDERSTAND THIS. TO BE IN LOVE IS TO RESPECT THIS.
Don't wanna girlfriend, definatly not a wife right now, nor just a "fuck"buddy or what ever they call them. No babies daddy. Don't want her to cling, or be needy and/or fight with me when she thinks she right and I'm wrong. Just simply make out with my friendly friend. Don't want her to expect me to get her roses on our weeks make out anniversary, although ha I probley would.
When and if I suddenly pass away when people ask her about me I want her to simply say, "He was one hell of a kisser. Whoa!"

I'm a man so if one thing led to another than I would man up, of course. I could be romantic just haven't had my opputunity. All I do, which it is my fault and will change, is watch movies to waste time. For what?? Why not waste my time with a friend and make out during that movie. Make sense to anyone?
So when Ms. Mother Kansas opens her arms and welcomes her boy back home I hope that she has something there for me that will hold me down for a while. Otherwise it will all end in heart break and I will go on to my lifes next great adventure in whatever state or place or world or time.

It made me laugh! Not in a "I think you're lame" sort of way but in a "I know exactly how you feel (kind of)" way. I liked the quotes sprinkled throughout it, and, I think its perfectly okay to share whatever you're feeling at the time, the best poetry comes from the heart right? And even if it doesn't rhyme or anything, prose is always something effective to fall back on! I can definately say I would never like to make out with a girl, but I understand the desire to want a friend that won't expect more than being a 'friend'.

this was awesome but true.I am a woman single and in search of what your looking for.its not easy but hell been married and divorcedand single for 3 years come b(mostly) its not just a f*** thing i want passion and love then i will talk to you later. Finding a kissing buddy. Don't know many people who make out as buddies. Even the just kissing thing....but I do like the idea as I am single and would love to just kiss someone again. But I want a romantic relationship-not sex, but a courtship if you will. I really liekd it, mostly because i have been there, too bad we didn't know eachother before i got hitched haha!
