Muffins

Finding what is to become of me
So many years spent in luxury
Dead with the remnants of my parents
I need no lament

I will follow the way they paved
Private school, working for a small pay
Riches to Rags
Ignoring the cries of “Social Justice” from the hacks.

Ghosts of memories floating on the wall
War amongst it all
Maybe one day I can change the world
My future to be unfurled.

So follow a light
That shines only within the night
Rise above the “Social Justice”
And make it so that you can once again afford to buy muffins.

Author notes

Meh. Something random I wrote this year for Creative Writing workshop. I like it anyways, a little cliche in some areas though

Please tell me what you think
