Dad

It kills me to look at your face
Full of knowledge and age.
How life has treated you throughout the years.
How many lines and wrinkles you have
Proving youre wise.
Your salt and pepper hair, how its always so fine.
That smile on your face, goofy yet kind.
Your eyes, how they always lit up when you were telling us a ryhme.
Your silly jokes, dumb yet good-hearted.
How you never gave up, and how your children always came first.
How you always said good things about then, never brought them down.
To how many hugs you gave, no matter what the day.
To you, my father, my hero.
