who I don't know
Who writes poems
straight from her heart,
about her soul.
A flower so young it is just unfolding.
Her heart is heavy,
and her eyes cast low.
But as she looks up in her despair,
searching for hope out there somewhere,
crying out for a little understanding,
her song comes raining down on me.
And I embrace it as it pours on me.
Like a serenade,
in words so warm yet oh so bitter.
About lost love, pain and broken hearts
appealing to the world out there,
to finally mend her heart.
And as her song strikes in my soul,
she makes me suffer even more.
But this pain I take with gratitude,
for now I know I'm not alone.
She writes in words which make me think,
that somehow me and her are same:
our stories different,
our lives are strangers,
but through our souls and
through our hurt,
our leaves are thus connected.
This girl who I don't even know,
shows so much heartfelt passion,
that I can't resist to find out more.
About her heart and what she learned.
But what I know is that through her songs,
I can read into her heart.
This girl who I don't know,
who writes poems,
straight from her heart,
and right into my soul.
Author notes
This is about a girl, who I really dont know, but who has touched me with her writing about her life, hurt, pain and broken heart. I feel strangely connected with her, because she seems to put down in words what I am thinking, but can't put into words myself. She has helped me a lot without knowing it herself
in a period where I was suffering a lot and felt very alone. I wonder whether she knows its about her if she would read this..
Please tell me what you think

this was lovely, very sweet and something that alot of us have felt at one time or another when we read a poem or book or hear a song that seems to connect us to the soul of the one who wrote it. i know i have felt this way meny times before an amazing feeling to say the least and you portrayed that feeling very well.

This seems to happen on this site more than a few times, where someone's writing connects with a reader and someone helps someone without even knowing it. This is a very heartfelt write and is easy to read and understand.

Wow beautiful, powerful indeed. On this site i have grown accustomed to this, there are many whom hurt, are in pain, lost within themselves, yet there is always at least one, sometimes blessed there may be more, that actually feel you, and you them. You connect like magic your hearts and words complete one another. It is an amazing feeling to kno wthere is someone who listens and feels, and embraces you as if your their own. This was a most powerful connection o such and I say BRAVO to you on a great penning dear poet. Blessed is she whom this was intended for. I know that when she reads this, she will no doubt know that this is for her. Lucky is she my dear.
(hugs)
Vsutton.....a piece worth many applauses, a great show of emotions.

definitely a great poem you have here. i think at some point in our lives, we all meet someone like this--someone who unknowingly touches us in ways unimaginable. i really like the way you connected the second and the last stanza--great effect! overall, i think you wrote an amazing piece!!!
