A friend in need is like a friend in waiting
They wait for someone to need them
As opposed of needing their own friends
They just want someone to be with them
Feeling needed as they are needed
They become friends with everything they want
Because they do not have what they need
Feel like being held down

A friend in waiting is like a friend in leaving
They leave so they can be waited for
As opposed of being there to not be
They just want to be desired by many
Never doused with the love they want
Offering their heart on a sleeve for others
Because they want more than they can handle
Feel like being suffocated

They feel this way
Just to return
To the ones they love
Friends say "just to return"
