My heart is sad, but my soul is full,
of the love I have for You.
My knees are weak, and my eyes have just opened,
wider then the seas.
I am dizzy with the thought, You really exist.
I am spinning with the joy that cascades forth.
I can believe now, that a God lives, I can really ask You into my heart.
I can feel all you are to me now.
I am new in this place.
I don't know how to pray.
Lord, I feel I will be hurt, because this world is so crazy,
and our lives are so heavy.
Father, I am scared in this room, because their faces are so knowing,
all I want to do, my Jesus...
Is to love you my Savior, now, I may not do it so right,
but I want to know You, because I know there is a God.
I can promise You my life.
I say that I hear your voice.
I only need help, from their prying and mocking claws of despair.
I don't want to go back down to that place of worry and fear.
I only want to look up to You.
I want to follow You Lord, over those mountain tops.
I want to climb to the highest boughs,
of that tree just moment before, I was staring up against.
At the top of my lungs full, I begin to sing.
I never want to climb back down.
My life Lord, is so meaningless until, I see Your face.
My joys are only filled with air, until I sing Your name,
full of peace and full of that happiness, it's going all throughout me.
My beauty Lord, is no prettier then the soot in a chimney,
until I let You come close, so I can be that pretty afterglow.
My name is never known, until You give me Your own.
Author notes
Accepting God into my life was the best thing I could ever have done!
Life is so much more full of hope and happiness despite hard times.
