"Once Upon A Time..."

Once upon a Time

I wondered

If

God

Existed

and why?

Then I was Sure

That  the Love

of

my life

was out there

Somewhere

Now I Know

Better...

What is Left?

Can you live

With it?

Author notes

Be that as it may...

It says alot about belief, & love. Don't let the loss ruin your hope for life.

    Compelling

Well that is a complelling question and I say no. I love the structure of this piece but I really think that it needs something more though. I don't know if you need to make it longer or put more discriptive emotion. All I know that as a reader it feels incomplete. Thank you for sharing.

Certainly the kind of poem that would spark a lively conversation/debate. And certainly "Man" would love to think He doesn't exist because then "Man" isn't accountable and he can do that which is right in his own eyes and there will be no consequences...or will there? Yet "Man" then wonders..."why DO all those bad things happen?" LOL Consequences...perhaps?

As long as Man is on the earth he will wonder. He will search. Intelligently creative and thought provoking. But then, I would expect no less.

    Amazing and Thought Provoking

I read your poem again and again. It poses a simple yet complicater set of questions. Your poem is definitely thought-provokoing and it leaves the reader wondering about its hidden meanings. The simplicity of your words and your honest and sincere account captured my interest.
Thanks for sharing. Would you mind reading my poem "Life Imitates Art"? http://allpoetry.com/poem/2363531 I would appreciate your comments.
