Middle Road

Intelligent as I may or may not be,
The two paths lay in front of me.

Thin path of loneliness,
Tasks of difficulty

Rocky path of love,
Full of mediocrity.

...How can one be forced to choose...

Both winding, rugged.
Dense forest in between.

All signs points me to choosing the first,
All destiny leads me that way.

My heart objects,
sending me into a collision course.

...When one has so much to lose...

I found myself braving the forest,
Uncharted area.

I could easily abandon,
Go to the trails on each side.

I still struggle in the middle,
But I think that's what makes me her angel.

Please tell me what you think
