Prozac Alley

My neighbors are special in so many ways,
schizophrenics, bi-polars, lesbians and gays.
Obviously confused about who they are,
matters not to me if I could just reach my car.

Rarely will I make it without being seen,
meaning I'll be attacked at parts in between.
The latest gossip is forced upon my ears,
minutes seem like hours and hours like years.

Hmmm, do we live in the same neighborhood and not know it?? LOL, sounds like a few of my neighbors. Try as I might, can never seem to get away from them. One of these days, I am going to walk out with police issue, gun range ear plugs. Good luck in the contest hun.

    Had to chuckle here...

Yes, I do think this is humorous because we have quirky neighbors, too! You might fix the spelling on "schizophrenic" unless it is true that it might be spelled with a "y" as well. I had to learn to spell it, once. This month I learned to spell Leprehcaun. My neighbors are an odd mix, too, which is how I thought of this contest! Very cool poem you wrote!

It is sad when you are forced to live in an unsafe area, neighbors can really be quite the butts at times too. What I don’t like is the pets they let wander about, starving and neglected. Nice write, best wishesAlilly
