Chapter 2

The Story of Count Crimson Chapter 2
The Queen took the child into a dark castle light only by torches and candles once entering the child was taken to the King Count Magnus. He cared nothing for the child then his wife reminded him that they had no male heir to the throne. This disturbed Count Magnus greatly he wanted a male heir so he told his wife to set up preparations, that they child must be blooded at once. The next eve when the moon touched the sky the castle’s main hall was filled with vampyres from near by towns and  kingdoms to witness the blooding of the new prince of Magnus. The ceremony started with  the lighting of bleeding candles followed by a bath of blood. The King and Queen enter from the top of the stairs’ holding the child.
At the bottom of the stairs they reach a platform with a small tub surrounded by candles. Count Magnus takes the child from the Queen and holds him over the tub and slowly while chanting and ancient prayer he dips the child in the blood. The child begins to scream and as he does he swallows mouthfuls of blood. Count Magnus then pulls the child up and slowly bites his foot allowing the blood to flow from it he cuts his wrist with a dagger and allows the blood to fuse and become one. Then he raises the child up and introduces him to the others “This will be you future King Crimson.” He hands the child back to the Queen. The room clears out as everyone makes there way to the Dinning Hall for the feast. Once back in her room the Queen cleans off the baby and sings him a lullaby and puts him to sleep. The Queen takes a seat in a chair not far from the bed and sits down she starts to cough. One of the servants ask her if she needs anything but she says that she will be fine. As baby Crimson sleeps his one mother dies.
The next morning the Queen is discovered dead with the child laying on the bed crying. After that the King had nothing to do with Crimson till he was about 16 or about 160 in vampyre years. Then he started to come around to him after he remarried and wanted Crimson to marry the new Queens daughter. Crimson thought nothing of this but just a marriage till he meet the princess. Her name was Sapphire she was a beautiful vampyress about the same age as Crimson. They soon fell in love and Crimson spent every second of the day with her, until there came a war and Crimson had to go fight. Crimson told her not to worry that he had been studies the art of being an assassin since his mother had died. This made the princess more comfortable but she still worried about him. He vowed to marry her when he returned from war.
The opponent was the Purple Rhino Knights, a band of Knights from the Kingdom of Noir. It was a fierce battle that lasted for many years. Crimson had matured much in this war killing had become second nature for him. But this did not change the love he felt towards Princess Sapphire. After about 7 years the war subsided with thousands dead and many wounded. Crimson was very happy that the war was over for he could now marry the love of his life. Upon returning to the castle he found out that the Princess had been kidnapped. Crimson was heart broken and enraged he searched the town and all the land under Magnus’s rule but she was nowhere to be found
