Sunlight frames the gnarled tree,
branches like a web are a halo against the sky,
she's on her knees,
her skin moonbeam pale,
the scent of lilacs hangs in the air,
her hair is the gold of setting sun,
outlined against the pastels of forever,
the sky,
and her eyes hold eternity...
just as the moon and the sun collide,
a race of glistening tears down each cheek,
and a teardrop clings to the grass,
and then the world is one.
All's shrouded in darkness,
but light erupts from the circle in the sky,
the celestial sphere...
the tears spill,
fast and furious,
and everything twists into the crazy shapes of loss and love,
and for a moment...
time melts,
night and day blend,
and she looks up,
and she loves, and she forgives,
and the sun comes out again.
