Steryotypes control our world,
Have you ever noticed that?
Emo, Goth, Prep, Jock;
I'm getting sick of hearing it.


And don't try to lable me!
Try to get to know me!

And if you have to judge me,

Please, please don't tell me!


And if I catch your eye,

At the top of a cliff,

Looking like i'm about to jump,

Ask me and get your facts straight!

 

Maybe the view is beautiful.

Maybe I like to think about life.

Maybe there's more to me than you think,

Maybe, just maybe, I'm me.

    Wonderful. I totally get what you are trying to say here. I hate how in our modern way, everyone and everyhting is labeled! People, music, etc. It's just annoys me. I loved the entire poem. Especially this stanza "And if I catch your eye,
    At the top of a cliff,
    Looking like I'm about to jump,
    Ask me and get your facts straing!"

    Your sentiment is excellent but I would have prefered to see this a bit more uniquely done. Thats just personal preference.

    I really like this, it really is Deep. It makes you question the sterotypes that we use against other and that are used against us. Powerful write. Good job

    i know how you feel

    i go thru the same thing. i love your point of view and if i could i would climb to the top of a mountain and look at the view. i love it
