Thoughts

My thoughts are dark and dreary
They used to be bright and dreamy
But when my life twisted upside down
My smile went straight to a frown
Now when everyone tries to make me laugh
They end up smiling in a whole new way
When they see the emptiness in my eyes
They know that no one can change the skies
All I ever think about now is darkness and quiet
I never seem to find anyone who feels the same way
