A Friend

I once had a friend I could trust,
A Friend I could could tell my secrets to,
and not worry about anyone finding out.
A friend who use to be there through thick and thin,
A shoulder to cry on when things got tough,
Always encouraging me on when I wanted to give up.
What happened to that friend I wonder,
Now we say mean things about each other,
I always thought this friendship would never end,
Please wont you be my friend once again?

Author notes

This poem was actually written by one of my best friends who is no longer around me any more. I wish she was still here. I miss her.

I thought the rhyme was very expected and cliche; just the whole thing overall was cliche. It is such a sad subject, losing a friend. I think almost everyone can relate. I miss my old best friend, too, but I guess some things were never meant to be.
    Stay strong.
