The past unopened, the portal unforgettable
Alone in the darkness of the night
The house empty
One candle lite in my room
As I review my letter, I think of my grandmother
All the broken memories
Tears flow down my face
Landing onto the razor blade
The sweet relief, the hatred undone
Laying in my bed
Scars show my harmful deed
The phone rings
She's concerned but I hurt her too much
I have to let it go
And give her happiness
Because I love her
She never knew the pain I caused
And know she never will
If sorry could undo the past
Everything would be okay
