The Displaced Courage

                                          People with money,
                                          People with none.

                                    Their arrogance blinds them,
Only the eyes of dirt can see,
What flaws them, what makes them,
                                      Powerful, or disgusting.

                                    All looks down, majority lost,
                                      Power placed in paper,
                                    Metals holding who is right,
                                        And who is wrong.

We do not hold onto hope,
Never seeing the truth behind words,
Just the length of a barrel,
Or the numbers on a piece of paper.

Powerful write. This made me think of society and how people can get greedy from too much money. The second verse I thought was the best. The most powerful people in the world tend to seem to be the most disgusting. So much could be done by people who have the money to make this world a better place to live, but they are probably just too selfish to do anything. Fantastic write. Keep up the good work.

    Well-written yet cliche.

Your poetry is definitely getting better.
