Cyclical Ignorance

"Save these screams for us,"
Weep disenfranchised ancestors.
Tomorrow our grievances sing
And their toil is again forgotten.

Rewrite every letter of love
To recapture a moment's beauty.
You behold such silent words
As those of lost wisdom's burden.

Falter and immediately cower.
Disregard lessons of lost ones.
Encase in isolated stasis
Old silenced truths (Still too real).

Incite a new era of the brain.
Bring forth unprecedented reason
And speak good will unto children's
Cold shoulders, taught by example.

Please tell me what you think

Excellent title for this work. Well written, your concept is well expressed I think, I sense so much more behind these few words, and see the actions, emotions, beliefs and attitudes of which you write, every day.

oh this is good! for some reason it reminds me of the band Nightwish and their lyrics.

    "Rewrite every letter of love
    To recapture a moment's beauty.
    You behold such silent words
As those of lost wisdom's burden."
    - i especially liked this stanza!

    keep up the good work!
