I was a little kid afraid of opening the wardrobe, going across the landing in the dark, this shows the thoughts that were running through my mind at the ages four through eight!

Cute! I liked the way it was innocent and full of childish fears. Had you not used some of the language you did "beasties, creepies" it might not have worked as well. Loved the Hiding under blankets - that whole stanza just really made it.
