It Wasn't Paranoia

I told you I was sick!
But You won't listen,
I'm the One you'll be missing

I told you I was sick!

You said I'd be well

Even my body was pale and started to swell

I told you I was sick!

Yet you didn't give me much mind

You said I would be fine

Now you know, I was sick

Now I'm dead, You Prick!

Hope to see you soon...

Author notes

It just a short poem that I hope will give someone a giggle. I wrote it seconds so which was a little bit of a challenge. Since I love to edit and re-write but it doesn't hurt to try.

Actually, The idea came from a real epitatph that said, "I Told You I Was Sick." I thought it was funny enough to expand upon. Thanks for the comment. :3

LOL. This reminds me of a friend of mine who is always sick and makes a big deal about it so everyone around her doesnt believe her anymore when she says shes sick....ha ha ha. This is what shes gonna put on her tombstone. Thanks for sharing. Love and Peace, Charlene.

Death makes me giggle. Call me morbid...or any other names, but when one works frequently with funeral homes, and when one's mother works at a cemetery, death takes on this whole new realm of humor. Therefore, it makes me giggle.

The whole idea of "I told you I was sick"... It makes me think of a person in an asylum back in the days when mental health was considered...well...not what it is today. And the mental torture that some of those people endured because they weren't considered treatable and whatnot..

Well I don't know why I think of that when I read this, but I do. An internal battle due to external stimuli.

Oh whatever. It's two in the morning. You get the idea.

    Stephie.

I always love your comments. They really help. With respect I bow to thee.

Death really is comedy, and this isn't the first time I've used it as such. Guess that makes me morbid too...
