I Believe in Him

I  believe in God above

That hears my every prayer

I believe He speaks in love

Of my name, He is aware

 

Knowing that He is there for me

Makes me smile very deep within

Knowing that when I call His name

His face sports a lovely grin

 

My Father watches over me

Each step along the pligrim way

My Father hears every plea

Protects me in case I stray

 

The heart of God is tender

If  He’s wronged He cries real tears

The heart of God is so gentle

He watches through the years

 

Anointing He will give me

That I might know his awesome plan

Anointing is the strength from thee

His loving child new life began

 

It’s through faith He comes to me

In this my time of greatest need

By faith I worship as a man

My life in Him will succeed

    Inspite of irreglar beats

    it works well as a strong staement of faith. One thought either rhyme or don't rhyme mixing them is good in some circumstances, but not here. You can rework and let me know. I know you were in the moment when you wrote this, the spirit overrides poeticism.
    This is a lovely statement of faith, count your beats one per syllable,ending hard d's z's t's x's.

    I believe in God above7
    That hears my every prayer8
    I believe that I am loved8
    That He even knows my name7

    Knowing, He is there for me7
    Makes me smile VERY DEEP within8
    Knowing THAT when I call His name8
    The answer APPEARS quite near7

    My Father watches over me7
    Each step along LIFE'S GREAT HIGHway8
    My Father takes my life in hand8
    HE IS MY DEAR PROTECTOR7

    The heart of God is tender7
    If HE'S wronged He cries real tears8
    The heart of God is gentle8
    All through the years HE WATCHES7

    Anointing He will give me7
    That I might know His MIGHTY plan8
    Anointing is the strength I need8
    To be His dear loving child7

    It'S through faith He comes to me7

    It is by faith I worship Him8
    True love in my heart FOR HIM7
