"The Photograph"

Looking through some old photographs I

came to one of my mother.  She was sixteen

years old so much beauty to behold.  No make-up

did she wear, her skin so flawless and oh what

curly hair.  I held that photo for quite sometime

I looked at it so hard that my eyes hurt.

So different she looked, always a beautiful

woman shes been it was like looking at me

when I was ten.  So much a tom-boy she has

always been.  She has aged so gracefully I

must say, for she is just as beautiful today.

When she was twenty two she broke her back

working to make a better life for us.  But not

once did I hear her fuss.  After our father died

tragically her own pain she had to set aside her

Young life had been turned upside down, what

else would she have to go through? no matter

what she never failed to say "I Love You" I

said then I would never stray far.  So many

memories came rushing back.

Today I'm able to give something back for

I care for her daily.  Although she is unable

to walk we sit and just talk and talk.  I love

her so very much and wanted to say in a

very special way.  That I'll never forget her

special touch I love you mom and I love

you so very much.

Please tell me what you think

This, Dear Heart, makes me cry. I am so touched. Beautiful moms always live in our hearts and they bear so much out of pure love. It's good you have this time with her. My daughter spent today with me. It means a lot to me, as it must to your mom, too, to have you nearby.

Awe, this is so sweet. Very heartfelt and moving. I really loved this write. It reminds me of my mother. She worked hard the whole time I was growing up and now she's going back to school at the ripe young age of 52. I'm very proud of her and I'm glad to be her daughter. Great write.

    Great words

Brilliant work... ingenious presentation...unique format... the rhyme so slight it is almost invisible and that is great.. it is truly lovely and has brought tears to my eyes.. If only I had the chance to say those words to my Mom, what I wouldn't give...  This is another of your infamous Master pieces in my book. Keep on typing..
My dearest friend and Mother too!

The apple didn't fall far from the tree. This is a sincere heartfelt poem that shows how strong your relationship is. Filled with mutual respect, dedication and love. It is truly beautiful. I hope that you show this to your mom. I am certain that she will cherish it.
