Intolerant Solitude

Intolerant solitude
wished, wanted…  Lost
beneath dreamy gazes
of careless skies

and the wind blows no answers
to questions beckoned
as Neanderthal-ic memories
stress dreamscapes
          eluding perfection
          and idealistic moments
          of an arrogant world

Nature calls
Simplicity demanded
The hallow life…
a lonely walk to de-clutter
reenergized and understand
all that materialism didn’t teach

And I could just die, for one moment
to finally touch the stars, the heights
Society could never reach

Solitude [are you really ever alone?],
Questions unanswered [in moments of pain and solitude],
Nature [in its simple, yet complicated form of beauty],
Materialism of society and a reach for the Heavens attainable through [metaphorical] death or
Self-realisation [spiritual recognition of destiny's path]...
Leading the mind to a complex field of emotional responses.. emotions of wisdom beyond mortal years...

These are the messages I get from this. Shows me that you are in touch with something deeper than the eye can see...

    WOW...

Ah, beautifull.. Do I detect Shaman undertones? Yes, the world appears to have lost all connection to what really matters - our planet. All time/energy is spent chasing one thing.. money.
    This is being book-marked!

I wonder if "Neanderthal-ic" is referring to an adverse, for Nell, married life to a Neanderathal? But, maybe the married life was not so adverse when you wrote this or maybe your intuition was recognizing the Neanderathal with whom you co-existed. just a thought

Hi Dennis, thank you for taking the time to stop in and leave your thoughts. This poem is completely society orientated... the neanderathal part is pointed towards our basics insticts and simple needs to sustain life - sometimes we need that prehistoric wake up call with all the superficial and material baggage that intrudes and rules our life in this day and age.. well thats what i was trying to put across... sometimes we just need to go back to the call of nature and start anew...declutter and reenergise

      Thanks again
      Have a great day

I love this, I agree that wind never blows the answer to the questions we ask... I like this it's the thinkers poem, I would die to touch the stars just once... be just our luck one would fall and crack us on the head.... super super exellent I would say, not wierd...
