What do you do?
When you have done what you want to
When your aim has been done
What do you become?
You feel like you’ve achieved
Yet you just don’t feel at ease
There’s something more you want
There’s something more you need
You’ve got a real loose idea
But your heart isn’t really there
You want something of passion
Something that deeply you’ll care
There’s something stuck in your head
And many times you have said
It’s the path you’re going to choose
And you’ve got nothing to lose
But is this really true?
Or are your paths now split in two?
There’s the one you see in your dreams
There’s the one where you’ve already been
It’s hard to break free
It’s hard to be who you want to be
Yet it’s easy to keep going
And to write the same old poem
Habit is a boring way
To do the same thing day after day
Habit is the wrong reason
To do what you are doing
Season after season
Habits are there to be broken
And words are there to be spoken
