Only During the Night

These fondest memories held, just as if they're being compared
to being nocturnal or lively of the day; and this stillness beats
ever more into those white-washed cinderblocks

Striving for love...or was it lust this body felt?

I can't truly divulge such an answer if there was no question
  to convey

Within the quiet, lies the mixture of the air conditioner humming,
crickets chirping, or listening to the nonstop movements from the
upstair neighbors  (who probably were pondering the some exact thoughts
as to why) forging for the existence to simply exist

In the same manner once more, voices whisper like a cavernous
echo: constantly spewing nonsense especially when neither party
cares to listen and, deaf ears turn away

Submerged behind an opened door, phrases walk forth- each wanting
a turn to be paraphrased into something more grand than
  at first glance

Moreover, is the never-ending indication or scornful stare-downs
with green-eyed monsters breaking away barriers long promised to
  keep erect

Confrontations about emotional let-downs march in pursue
crying to be simply heard...not herded back into miniscule
  cages

Noticed how the keys were thrown away like crumpled paper?

Substituting, smiles where brung out in recognition so other
stick figures would know everything is 'alright' yet stagnation
could cut the very woven cloth of reality...

...Unfortunately, this is the mind of self confinement

You are beginning to develop a rare talent in poetry. I forsee many great things for you. This is a most enjoyable write and one that is to be appreciated. I think you remind me of Maya Angelou, another great.
