little thoughts never grow
unless you visit them often.
---
life, strife, knife.
all rhyme with wife.
truth hides in strange
places.
---
people dance never hearing
the music. singing their own tunes.
lost in little worlds. small words.
---
truth is cheap.
free always has strings attached.
there is more money in lies than love.
---
hungry dragons and heroes.
there is never one without the other.
-----
Mary had a little lamb.
her mother was surprised.
for she knew the ewe her husband did.
she never expected the Ram to be as wise.
----
if you ever have to look for me,
look into the deepest ditch first.
when i fall i fall hard.
----
people become so religious
they forget they are Christians.
--
chains are so easy to put on.....
----
quote nothing you dont understand
never give weapons to an enemy.
---
man is the only animal capable
of creating his own hell.
----
But officer,
im standing on a planet going fast enough
to travel around a star in 365 days.
and this planet spins once upon itself
every 24 hours. the moon is pulling
every which way. and you want me to
walk a straight line?
----
the only noise pollution i hear
is when a mouth disengages from
a mind.

I liked the way this really fitted with the title. I loved its randomness and the way it almost seemed like little excerpts straight from the mine. I loved how you mixed some with a bit of humour with some more serious ones. I felt the balance of the piece was perfect and it really got me thinking and smiling at the same time. Thanks very much for the entry, when I have finished judging the contest I will have to come back and check out some more of your random thoughts. Great work x

You have certainly created a most fascinating piece here. I enjoyed the read. Random thoughts they may be but deep within these words lie a mountain of truths that should be rolled around, savored and deeply pondered upon. Best wishes to you in all of your endeavors and thank you for sharing this. Keep that pen handy and ever ready for use dear poet.

Those were entertaining! Truly randomness is a good thing! I am able to think random thoughts, but I have yet to put them on paper; maybe someday. Good job on this though!

-
Oh the mind does work mysteriously does it not? Liked these random thought's of yours!

-
Just a bit of this and that, kind of fun reading these random thoughts. Especially liked the one about the Christians, although being one myself, I am not sure what you write is a good thing....LOL
-
wow, though its titled random thoughts.. it all fits together in the mad rambling of the mind. i quite liked it.
-

Good insight. Like the words and the poem. Love the part you wrote here man is the only animal capable of
creating his own hell. How true.

-
quirky and amusing in a funky way. think the "officer" stanza is working just fine without the dozen questionmarks at the end. one is plenty, maybe followed by a "duh" or "yea, right". lol
-
I always love these little sayings of yours, your either a genious or a nutcase. Either one is good

You should have your own cult.
You are a true guru. xD All you have written rings very true and maes me feel very enlightened at this advanced time of night. Maybe it's the tiredness speaking, but I think you could totally pull off the whole Confucious thing. A few wise teachings here, a few laws of conduct there, and next thing you know you'll be one of the top ten religions world-wide.
GO FOR IT!!!

You have Mook bedazzled and I also, your mind's random spinning has no need of straight lines because the crooked road gives us so much more to ponder over when you pen them.

-
oh wise one rustynite words from your pen put thoughts into my head and i like where they take me very zennish and a i do enjoy a good zen thought. These little random thoughts of yours are i feel one string to your talent .... trademark of the poet behind the thought. Thank you
