Staring, contemplating what treasure behold from the otherside
of the window as the focus of the camera lens dims further away
until everything becomes bleak.
Trepidation of venturing onto the outer limits tremble as if the thoughts
of discriminating and, realization threatens to knock over this now filled
cup; while hearing the lonely squirrel forge for nuts amongst the aged
leaves
(They too, are telling a story)
Describing what's being heard, is only something the mind has yet
to erase but, for now life remains unforeseen through cracked
screen-in windows and blinds. While vehicles from minute distances away
zoom by, television in other room quietly blaring, this body has become
accustomed towards these familiarities of it all
Granted, I could question, "Why me?" but the answer is already present
in the eyes of Karma; gentle breezes illuminate what vocalized echo these
lips want to speak as the journy to learn something new beyond the reach
of white cotten condensation hold possibilites as these blurred eyes simply
watch the lone squirrel forge for more nuts amongst the grass and fallen,
aged unraked leaves

It's amazing how useless the anonymous feature is when I read certain pieces! You can't hide!
This is a charming and imagery rich descriptive. I love the phrases "quiet blaring" and "white cotton condensation." Excellent piece and the title is very appropriate! Thanks for your entry!

this is a rather relaxing read and I like that about it, the title is so very appropriate in that aspect for isn't that what daydreaming is all about, we relax so much that we allow our minds to take us someplace else if only for a brief moment. well done poet, well done!
