I remember and feel it as if
it were yesterday
I was speechless afterwards
your breath circling my soul
In that moment,
there was a surge of electricity
that passed between us
We both trembled knowing
this was different
I found in you a strength so profound
In me, you found a chance to feel
unconditional love
I felt your love in
Every touch
Every look
Every sigh
My love for you is in every pore
in every word I speak
Speaking your name
makes me gasp for air
I don’t know how to love anyone but you
it will be a learning process
You have caressed my life with a brilliance
that shall never diminish
Sometimes we run from what we love
and need the most
commitments having to take priority,
fearful of changes
Know you take my love with you
You also take the woman that I was
I will be never be the same
Forever spending my life
lost in the memories
of you
