I saw you standing at the dark edge of forever,
in the mists of the haunted wood
where once long ago, when you were my lover
among the nightshade paths we walked,
the moon light fell, casting shadows dark and deep
This haunted wood within my dreams
That I had made my home
danced and swayed in this charade
and within the mist and rain and smoke
howling winds splayed the limbs that bent and snapped like bones
and the clouds cried and bled cold tears
upon the these woods where our hearts roamed
You stand within the edge of darkness made so crystal clear
this looking glass with no way out and no way in
And though I seek the love that lies within your saintly castle keep
the dark edge of forever lies within my bower dark and deep

Well, this is different. I don't usually like fantasy-like pieces, but the second half of this one really flows nicely. Thank you for entering my contest.
